Inconsistent flow after using pager

Hi,

We were thinking about buying the engage rotator for our website. I have been trying out the demo at http://demo.engagemodules.com/Modules/EngageRotator/tabid/60/Default.aspx and it's perfect for us, apart from one thing. When you click in the pager to choose which slide to see and then let it start rotating again, the flow continues in a inconsistent flow and faster speed. It seems as if it would be set to two different rotating flows. Is there a setting somewhere that I have missed or is it supposed to be this way? :P

Our developer tried using the updated jquery code from november (http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle/). This solved this issue, I think.

Have anyone else had this problem or is it just a bug with the demo version?

Another thing, is it possible to make the rotation stop when you hoover the pager as well? Not just when you hoover the text. Because now, if you don't hoover the text fast enough after clicking the pager, it will continue rotating to the next one.

Thanks

Re: Inconsistent flow after using pager

That is an issue with the version of the Cycle plugin that Rotator uses, as you noted.  We are planning to release an updated Rotator with an updated Cycle plugin shortly.

I don't think there is a way to make the rotation stop when you hover over the pager, but that definitely makes sense.  I'll create an issue and we can consider adding that behavior in a future version of the module.

Hope that helps,

Re: Inconsistent flow after using pager

Thank you for your fast reply. Okay, then I know that it is an acknowledged issue which is about to be fixed. I haven't found any records on the date for the next release, have you decided this? I am guessing that we won't be buying this module until the matter is fixed, since it unfortunately is rather visible and obvious.

/C

Re: Inconsistent flow after using pager

Sorry for the delay in getting this to you, it look a little longer than expected to get through our release process with the holidays and whatnot.

Engage: Rotator 2.0.2 is now available for download from our downloads page, which should address this issue that you've been seeing.  Please let me know (either through this thread or by creating a new issue in our issue tracker) if you're still seeing problems.

Hope it helps!
