I have downloaded the latest AjaxControlToolki from the recopmended website, and installed it, bit I am still getting this error.
FYI I am runnings.Netfx3.5

Rotator uses the 20229 release of the toolkit, and is only compatible with the 2.0 version. It should still work running under the 3.5 framework, but you will need to use the AjaxControlToolkip-NoSource.zip file from the 20229 release.

Hi bd that kind of worked, if I click add content I get to the Add new rotato content then I get this error

There are two releases of Rotator 1.2, one that uses the 10920 release, and one using the 20229 release (the AJAX toolkit version I just had you download). It looks like you're using the version of Rotator for the 10920 release. So, you can either get the 20229 update to Rotator, or get the 10920 release of the toolkit. Sorry this is so confusing, we're trying to eliminate this hassle going forward.

Well how are we supposed to know what version to use? The only documentation I can find is on your website, and it says to use 10920. Now you are telling this guy to use a different version. I am lost here and this installation is not easy.
Also, what files am I supposed to pull over to the bin directory? In the sample website for 10920, there are 15 folders a dll and a pdb. Are all of those supposed to be moved over?

The downloads page on this site includes Engage: Rotator 1.2 for both the 10920 and the 20229 releases of the AJAX Control Toolkit. I apologize if my post above was confusing and misspoke, the 20229 release is clearly marked and should only be used if you need it. If you downloaded the module from SnowCovered, then it should match with the instructions in our documentation (10920). If you need/prefer the newer version, it is also available from the download page.
You only need the dll, but we recommend moving all of the files from the bin folder (the other files support other locales than American English and debugging). Also, in relation to your other post, you may be required to reset permissions on those files after you add them to the bin folder.

Our modules are all compiled using the .NET 2.0 line of the AjaxControlToolkit releases. If you have the source version you can recompile the module to work with 3.5, but right now we don't maintain support for that version of .NET as DNN is setup out of the box to run on .NET 2.0
