Grainy text on 2nd pass in IE7

This is weird...

Love the content rotator. The problem I'm having is in IE7. The first pass of the 3 content sections is fine.

However, when the 2nd pass comes around the text gets extremely grainy. Please check this link in Internet Explorer 7:

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Will

Re: Grainy text on 2nd pass in IE7

Will, this is a known issue with ClearType in IE7 and the animation method used by the AjaxControlToolkit. I mentioned this in another thread:

This appears to be a known issue between the DXTransforms used by the AjaxControlToolkit animations and ClearType in IE. There is a short acknowledgement at http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/08/31/730887.aspx, which also includes a suggestion to set the background-color style on the element to fix the problem. If that is possible in your situation, I would definitely suggest trying that. I will see what I can find in terms of answers from the AjaxControlToolkit team.

Hopefully setting a background-color will be a workable solution for you.

Re: Grainy text on 2nd pass in IE7

I tried it, but it didn't work. Thanks anyway. If you eventually find a solution, please post it.

In the meantime, I took off the extra background settings and took off the animation.

Thanks,

Will
