Partial Funtionality

Problem: the module has been added to a page but it is only partially working - how can I get this to full functionality?

Dashboard has been added to a page. The dnn module 'UsersOnline' is the only other module that exists on this page.

On this page the initial view shows two sections, each with a graph:

  • Event Log
    • Graph - Event Log Entries by Type
  • Search Engine Optimization
    • Graph - Page Keywords and Descriptions

There is no change when I click on any of the nav items (Portal Health, Module Locator, Engage F3) - the same two sections, each with the same graph keep showing.

Clicking on the Settings nav item takes you to the module settings screen but there are no Engage settings available, just the typical Basic and Advanced Module and Page settings.

The site is running 04.09.02

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Re: Partial Funtionality

Have you checked to see if there are any error messages in your Event Viewer?

This is not an error that I've seen before, I would definitely like to find out why this is happening and help you solve you problem.  Would I be able to get access to your website to see if I can determine what the issue is, here?

Hope I can help,

Re: Partial Funtionality

For the record, we found out that the Friendly URL provider was forcing the URL to be all lowercase.  The URL parameter that Dashboard uses to determine which page to display is case-sensitive, so it wasn't working with the lowercase URLs.  This has been logged as a bug.

Using the IFinity Friendly URL Provider, the solution is to set forceLowerCase to "false" in the web.config settings.

Re: Partial Funtionality

Thank you for helping me resolve this.  Your email was correct.

The solution was to edit the web.config file and change forceLowerCase="true" to forceLowerCase="false".

thanks again.
